CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
MAIN BODY
Wipe with
a damp cloth.
Cautions
• Make sure to remove the Steam Vent first and then the
Inner Lid.
• Never pull the Inner Lid Seal while removing the Inner Lid.
• Apply balanced force to pull from both sides to facilitate
the disassembly.
• Always unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and allow
the unit to cool off completely prior to cleaning.
• When cleaning the unit, do not use cleaning powder, scrub brush,
benzene or thinner.
• Do not wash Inner Pot, Steam Vent and Inner Lid in the dishwasher.
T
his action may cause damage, discoloration or disfiguration.
• Attach the Inner Lid with Steam Vent attached properly after
each cleaning.
Step 2: Continue inserting the flange of the Inner Lid
Seal into the Inner Lid Groove, until securely
fastened around the entire Inner Lid.
Step 3: After installation, confirm that the Inner Lid Seal
is securely and evenly seated in the Inner Lid
Groove, before using the rice cooker.
Grasp the Inner Lid Seal and
gently remove from the Inner
Lid Groove.
How to Remove the
Inner Lid Seal

INNER LID SEAL
• Wash the Inner Lid Seal thoroughly with a sponge and
a dishwashing detergent. Dry them with a soft cloth.
• Make sure to attach the Inner Lid Seal properly to the
Outer Lid after cleaning.
Step 1: Place flange of the Inner Lid Seal into the Inner
Lid Groove, as shown below.

INNER POT
Wash the inner pot using a sponge and dishwashing
detergent after each use.
To prevent damage to the non-stick Inner Pot:
• Do not wash rice in the Inner Pot using hard objects,
such as metal whisks.
• Use provided spatula for serving rice.
• Do not wash hard objects, such as spoons or rice
bowls within the Inner Pot.
• Do not use vinegar in the Inner Pot.
• Make sure that the Inner Pot is washed immediately
after any rice with seasoning has been cooked.
• Some discoloration of the Inner Pot may occur through
normal use. This is completely safe and poses no
health hazard.
If rice grains or other dirt become stuck to
the heating element, gently polish with
fine sandpaper (about 320 grit) and
then wipe clean with a damp sponge.

INNER LID AND STEAM VENT
• Wash Inner Lid and Steam Vent thoroughly with a sponge
and dishwashing detergent. Dry with a soft cloth.
• Make sure to attach them to the Outer Lid after cleaning.

How to Attach:
• Align the Steam Vent and Positioning Bases into the
two holes on inside of the Outer Lid and press it
in place.
• Align the Steam Vent Cover into the Steam Vent Gap
and press down. Turn it slightly left to right one or
two times to fasten the Steam Vent Cover.

How to Remove:
• Remove the Steam Vent Cover from the Outer Lid.
• Pull the Inner Lid towards you.

TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE RING SEAL
If the Temperature Sensitive Ring Seal is removed,
make sure it is re-installed correctly as shown below.
