TIMER COOKING
Cooking completes at a specific time by using timer function.
TIMER
BAKING
• Mix all the ingredients in a separate bowl.
• Coat the Inner Pot with oil or non stick spray.
• Pour the mixture into the Inner Pot and place it into the main unit.

Pour the mixture into the Inner Pot. Place Inner Pot into the main unit.

• The CAKE lamp will light and begin baking.
• When the baking cycle (approximately 65 minutes) is completed, the KEEP WARM lamp will light and
the cooker will automatically turn to the Keep Warm mode.
• The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
• Press KEEP WARM/OFF button to cancel baking.
Press the CAKE button.

• When baking is completed, CAKE lamp will turn off and WHITE RICE lamp will flash.
• Let it stand for 5 minutes.
• Turn the cake over onto a plate using oven mitts. Let cake cool down completely before slicing
or frosting.
• Make sure to unplug the power cord after use.
After baking is done, let it stand for 5 minutes.

Close the Outer Lid. Plug the power cord into electrical outlet.

Prepare the rice following steps (1) – (3) in the How To Cook Rice section on page 6.
• Plug the Power Cord into the electrical outlet.
• Determine what time you want the rice to be ready.

Press the appropriate Menu button to begin countdown.
• The display will show the number of hours until completion. The Menu lamp will light solid.
• When cooking begins, the two red horizontal bars begin to circulate around in the display.
• Once the cooking is completed, the MENU lamp goes off. The KEEP WARM lamp will light and
the cooker will automatically switch operation to keep the rice warm.
• Make sure to unplug the Power Cord after use.

Press the TIMER button.
• The hours change in one hour increments (up to 15 hours). The selectable times
are 1-15 hours.
• Press the “TIMER” button continuously until a required time appears.

• Timer cooking cannot be used for CAKE and REHEATING functions.
• Minimum of 2 hours on the timer must be set for cooking brown rice, porridge and soup.
• Timer cooking should be set to begin within 12 hours. The rice may begin to deteriorate if the rice is left
in the water for an extended time.
• Do not use timer cooking to prepare mixed rice, brown rice or sweet rice that contains other ingredients.
These ingredients or seasonings may deteriorate or settle to the bottom and fail to cook properly.
• Rice may turn out soft when cooked using the timer.
