Control user rights

This section explains how to manage access rights for your HMP. The HMP offers three levels of security:

• Administrative Server: Controls the access to all pages of the HTTP administration server. It is recommended to always

protect this area.

• Content Server: Controls the access to the content storage area. This username and password will be needed to upload

content via WebDAV.

• Monitoring: Controls the access to the logs and snapshot of the player.

Configuration guide

1. In the main page of Control Center, open the Security page. The current security settings will be shown.

2. Choose the type of access you would like to configure.

Note: it is recommended to always setup a password for the Administrative area. By default no password

is set and the administrative area is not protected.

3. Enter the password and confirm it in the second text area.

4. Press Apply to save your changes.

Note: you need to press apply for each password you want to change; it is possible to change only one

password at the time.
