MP2 Viewer
MP2 Viewer is a playback-dedicated application designed for use with the DSR-M800/M804/M810/
M814 series. It plays back MPEG2-format video files saved from DVR onto a recording medium such as
a computer's hard disk drive, a CompactFlash card or a CD-R.
b Main Features
Plays back a saved video file.
For a video file that contains sound data,
you can playback the sound as well.
Saves still images taken from the video file
as JPEG files.

Appraises tampering of video or date and
time information.
b Hardware and Software
Requirements
MP2 Viewer requires the following hardware
and software:
CPU: Pentium III/800MHz or higher
(Pentium 4/1.7GHz recommended)
RAM: 128MB or more (256MB
recommended)
Display: XGA (1024 x 768 pixels),
16 million colors or higher.
AGP graphics card with hardware overlay
support, PCI Express graphics board, or a
mother board with an on-board graphic
chip (Requires the latest DirectX 9.0c
compatible driver)
Operating system:
Windows 2000 Professional or higher
(Windows XP Professional recommended)
Sound:
Sound card with 48kHz stereo playback
support (A sound card is required to listen
to the sound part in live or played back
video.)
b Installation
When you install the DVR Utility Software, the
MP2 Viewer program is installed as well.
Thus, MP2 Viewer does not require a
separate installation task.
b Starting MP2 Viewer
When video data is downloaded from a DVR,
MP2 Viewer is also saved automatically from
the computer into the download destination
folder.
To start MP2 Viewer, simply double-click the
MP2 Viewer icon in the folder. You are then
presented with the MP2 Viewer main window.
MP2 Viewer allows you to view any MP2 video
file contained in the same folder. This means
that you can play back vide files even if MP2
Viewer is not installed on the computer you
are currently using.
b Exiting from MP2 Viewer
On the menu bar, open the [File] menu and
select “Exit”.
Before you start MP2 Viewer, be sure to
shut down any other MPEG player
applications.
